Who is Malala Yousafzai?

LONDON: Pakistan's teenaged human rights activist, Malala Yousafzai, is more afraid of ghosts than she is of the Taliban, whose gunmen shot her in the head and neck last year for speaking out in favour of girl's education in the Swat Valley.

"Well, if I speak truly, I am a little bit scared of ghosts. We people call it pidiaan... I am afraid of them when it gets dark," said the 16-year-old, who was in the race for this year's Nobel peace prize for standing up to the Taliban.

In an interview with NDTV's group editor Barkha Dutt in Britain, where she was brought for treatment after the attack and has been staying since, Malala said she was "not at all" scared of the Taliban.

Asked why the Taliban were opposed to girls' education, Malala said, "They are afraid of us. They are afraid of women. A woman is powerful but when she gets education she becomes more powerful. They do not want women to take part in society, in the development of a society. They think that the only job of women is to cook food, to serve the family, to give birth to children, to feed them."

Malala reiterated that her ambition was to lead her country. "Yes, I want to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan. And I will work on education and health and for the prosperity of the country. And I will also work on good relations with India," she said.

The activist said after spending nine days in a Birmingham hospital receiving treatment, she asked her father to bring her a physics book "because numericals and mathematical questions are really tough".

"At that time I was not worried. I was thinking that I am going back to Pakistan, I am going back to Swat. And I was not even thinking that they can shoot me again," she said. Malala has enrolled in a school in Birmingham.

Despite the global attention, Malala said she was still an "ordinary girl". "I am the same Malala... speaking about women's rights and girls' education is my duty."

Thoughts should be given to

Life is sometimes great, lovely, and beautiful to all. I adore something called life. I adore something called honesty, respect, and nice relationship among relatives. Our religion advises us to be nice, kind, and pure to each other. I am positive that a human relation is a great value. When values are missed life will be a big issue to be considered by all. What makes me sad is the way that some people forget the kindness, mercy, and respect that are given by others. What irritates me is the way that some weak people communicate with their older members in the family. I am astonished by the way they all react to their person who keeps supporting them, helping them, encouraging them, giving them every single thing he/she has.
It is unbelievable and impossible to a person to experience such aggressive act. It is the act of devil and it is the act of Satan.
I think no one on earth has the right to judge on others or attack him or her violently.  These are some words that should be given to all. We have to prove to all that love should be spread everywhere and respect should control the whole group. We try our best to achieve perfection but we can’t reach the place we are looking for. We should be moderate and humble to all so that they can accept our act any time, anywhere and say yes you are right. It is easy to destroy a building or a long bridge but it is sometimes hard to destroy the relationship among a family if the family has a strong bond and forgive each other any time they may make mistakes. I believe that illiteracy plays a major role in the relation ship between people, friends, families and nations. Simplicity breaks all the barriers and destroys doubts, jealousy and envy. Once we have a strong faith, we should be fair and nice to all. We all should be satisfied and thank Allah for every single thing we have. We should be thankful that we can walk, we should be thankful that we can see, we should be thankful that we can speak and we should be thankful that we have work. We all know that there are some people who are disabled and people who suffer dangerous diseases. We have people who can even find food to eat. We must say Alhamdollelah and not keep fighting each other, talk about each other, hate each other, envy each other, make others sad and try to destroy every nice thing between each other. We must stop all these acts and forgive each other, love each other, help each other, support each other, pray for each other, feed each other and encourage each other.
Beauty is represented by great people and once we have this beauty, we will be given the freedom to show our love and peace to all.  This attitude will force people to respect us and bow in front of us. We have to spread kindness to all and live in peace and harmony. When we are bothered by others, we should forgive and forget. We may teach bad people a lesson of morality and respect.
I hate it when some people forget every good and nice thing they experienced it in their life. I have a dream that all people live in peace and harmony. I would love that all people forgive each other, love each other, respect each other and pray for each other. Thank you very much for those who are kind, sincere, honest, brave, smart, understandable, easygoing, and generous.

                                    Do what makes you happy
Be with who makes you smile
Laugh as much as you breathe
Love as long as you live
Give as much as you can

Salam

Challenges in our lives

Going through life to do our duties and achieve something for our community is not that easy thing. Every day we face a lot of challenges that stop us from doing what we dream about. Challenges are inevitable and no one of us lives without them no matter how lucky he is. We all face tough and difficult situations in life. Some of them are difficult to go over and take time, but we are capable of  passing  them and we have to never quit. The different between people who succeed in life and those who don’t is their ability to face the challenges wisely and not the absence of challenges. Keep in your mind that life  wasn’t designed for people to succeed from the first time. Moreover, the way you think about yourself affect your ability to face life challenges. Being flexible, learning how to recover from setbacks, thinking positively and working insistently are tools to go over any problem that can face you. Don’t forget to motivate yourself and simplify any problem. Finally, life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they are supposed to help you discover who you are.
